Refund and Cancellation Policy

How changes, cancellations, no-shows and refunds work for bookings and memberships.

Last updated 3 November 2026

Draft pending legal review

This policy describes how the platform works today and is being reviewed by South African counsel before launch. Details marked “to be confirmed” will be completed once the operating company is registered.

1. The policy saved with your booking applies

Every booking stores the cancellation policy in force when its terms were agreed. If we update this policy, existing bookings keep their saved version. You can see it on your booking page at any time.

2. Before a booking is confirmed

Customers can withdraw a request, and performers can decline it, at no cost until it is confirmed. If you paid and the booking could not be confirmed (for example the time was no longer free), you get a full refund.

3. If the customer cancels a confirmed booking

The standard policy refunds what you paid based on how long before the start time you cancel:

When you cancelRefund
7 days or more before the start100%
Between 2 and 7 days before50%
Less than 2 days beforeNo refund

Your rights under section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act, including the reasonable cancellation charge it permits, still apply.

4. If the performer cancels or doesn't attend

You receive a full refund of what you paid. Repeated cancellations affect a performer’s standing on the platform.

5. Changing the date or time

Either side can propose a new time. The booking keeps its original time until the performer and the customer both agree.

6. If something goes wrong

Report a problem from the booking page once the booking has started. Our support team reviews what both sides submit and decides whether a full, partial or no refund is due. We aim to resolve disputes within 10 working days.

7. Memberships and subscriptions

  • Cancel any time; access continues until the end of the paid period and is not refunded pro rata unless the law requires it.
  • If we charged you in error, contact us and we will refund the charge.
  • Under the ECT Act you may cancel an online purchase of a membership within 7 days of buying it, unless you have already used the member content.

8. How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the original payment method through our payment partner, usually within 5 to 10 working days of approval.
